HOUSTON — On the first possession of the scrimmage, Ace Bailey caught a pass on the wing, dribbled past Cooper Flagg and finished at the rim with ease. A few minutes later, Bailey skied for a rebound off a missed shot from Dylan Harper — his close friend and future Rutgers teammate — and threw down a vicious putback dunk.

Throughout the dress rehearsal for the McDonald’s All-American game on Tuesday, the first two Scarlet Knights selected for the prestigious event in 16 years were putting together a preview of things to come in Piscataway.
