Two of the most important elements of our modern life in America are transportation and communications. Modes of transportation today are essentially the same as in the 1950s – planes, trains, ships and motor vehicles. But, communications are vastly improved since then, with the internet and greatly increased computer use.
Transportation can benefit from this communications revolution. We could have better safety monitoring of all of our transportation modes to prevent catastrophic accidents and loss of life.
