Kevin Smith, Lola Falana and Bill Maher are among this year’s nominees for the New Jersey Hall of Fame.

Smith, the “Clerks” director who grew up in Highlands; Falana, the Camden native who made waves as a singer, dancer and actor; and Maher, the comedian and host of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” are all up for a public vote.
