Saleah Blancaflor is a food and culture reporter for NJ.com and The Star-Ledger where she covers everything from arts and entertainment, food, culture, and identity across the state. With more than a decade of journalism experience, she has written for a variety of publications including Fast Company, People, and NBC News where she worked as an associate producer on the award-winning NBC Asian America team. Her story, Project Poltergeist, about a young boy who was reportedly possessed in 1960s Newark, was published in Truly*Adventurous and acquired in 2020 to be developed into a film. Before moving to New Jersey, she graduated with a degree in creative writing from Oklahoma State University in 2014.
