The National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory at 3:24 a.m. on Wednesday valid for Wednesday between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. for Middlesex and Ocean counties.
"Northeast to east winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected," explains the weather service. "The strongest winds are expected to occur this afternoon."
"Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," says the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
