What’s black and white and luxurious all over? This house that’s for sale in Montvale.

It’s a sprawling 10,000-square-foot house on nearly 2 acres with an elevator, seven bedrooms, five full- and one half-bathrooms, an in-law suite and a resort-style backyard with a 2,500-square-foot infinity pool that has a 40 foot long slide.

You enter the house through double doors into a two-story foyer with black and white Italian porcelain floors and an ornate staircase that’s open to a catwalk above.

“It gives you that grand feeling,” said Tony Nabhan, the listing agent, from Keller Williams City Views Realty in Fort Lee.

The house has been completely renovated in the past two years, he said.

The main level includes a great room with a custom black marble fireplace, a white kitchen with a black island and stainless steel appliances, a formal dining room, a piano room, a bedroom and an office with another fireplace.

The second level has five bedrooms, including the primary bedroom, with a 15-foot by 15-foot walk-in closet that is being customized with a center island and built-ins. It also has a Juliet balcony overlooking the backyard.

The walk-out basement level has a bedroom, a full bathroom, a kitchen, living area, gym and recreation area.

An elevator goes to all three levels of the home. “It’s really a multi-generational home,” Nabhan said.

But the million dollar backyard is the showstopper, he said. In addition to the water slide, The saltwater pool and spa has a negative edge, includes a deck and offers lots of privacy.

“Everybody is going crazy over the backyard,” Nabhan said.

The home was originally listed in July 2023 for $3,595,000. It was reduced to $3,249,000 in October and then taken off the market in January. It was listed again Feb. 27, this time by Nabhan, for $2,995,000.

“You’re getting so much value for the $3 million number,” he said.

The median sales price of a home in Montvale was $865,000 as of January, according to New Jersey Realtors. That’s an increase of 29% from a year before when the median sales price was $669,500.
